Sardar Atiq elected unopposed as AJK PM

MUZAFFARABAD: Muslim Conference leader Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan was elected unopposed as the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

No candidate turned up to challenge Sardar Atiq for the top position.

Following Raja Farooq Haider’s resignation as the Prime Minister, nomination papers were to be submitted for the new Leader of the House till 6pm today.

However, no candidate except Sardar Atiq submitted nomination paper by the scheduled time.
